Dad’s Campgrounds was built by people who live this life — not investors looking at it from a spreadsheet. Dave and Blake DeWitt spent years on the road, fishing rivers, pulling into parks at dusk, and learning firsthand what makes a campground feel like home and what makes it feel like a transaction. That experience is baked into every one of our 26 parks.
But here’s what we kept noticing: a lot of the people pulling into our parks — especially first-timers and folks just making the leap to RV living — had questions we wished someone had answered for them earlier. Questions about buying the right rig, managing hookups, planning routes, budgeting for the road, keeping the rig running. Good questions, with good answers that just weren’t easy to find in one place. So we built that place.
This guide isn’t a sales tool. We’re not trying to sell you a more expensive site or push you toward a particular product. We’re a campground family that has watched thousands of guests and long-term residents arrive stressed and leave settled — and we know the difference between someone who felt prepared for this life and someone who didn’t. This is our way of making sure more people arrive ready.
